Fine Dining
The woman is finally seated. It’s a popular restaurant so she knew there’d be a wait. It’s known for serving only local products and preparing food using the traditional methods. In fact, she overheard someone a table over ask for an international beer and in response, the waitress scoffed as though insulted to her core.
“That is not from here, we do not have it. I will bring you something better.”

And so she sat, anticipation quickly bubbling up and drowning any angst that comes with waiting for a spot that may never open up. She browses the menu, the version that’s been begrudgingly translated. After hearing the waiter’s recommendations, she selects her entrée.
Waiter: Salad? Potato?
Woman: Yes please.
Waiter: Salad or potato?
Woman: Which do you recommend?
Waiter: Potato salad.
